Over SV Kampong Tennis

SV Kampong Tennis has a new park with its own pavilion at Sportlandgoed Kampong since the end of 2017. Our goal is to build a flourishing association in this new environment. Playing tennis in good atmosphere.

We have six LED illuminated, sheltered artificial turf courses that are basically playable all year round and a practice wall as well. We do the maintenance of the courts by ourselves. At the tennis park we now also have a Tennis Pavilion and a beautifully furnished terrace with many seats on sofas outside and shade with two large fixed umbrellas. The bar in the charmingly decorated Tennis Pavilion is operated by a Bar team consisting of members with a team leader and volunteers who also receive a fee for this. Hence there is no compulsory bar service for members. When the bar is closed, members can enjoy refreshments in Kampong’s large Clubhouse, which is open every day, while the Tennis Pavilion also has a soft drinks vending machine.

Many activities are organized for our members such as day tournaments for both youth and seniors, ‘racket trekken’ on Monday evening and Saturday morning, AZC tennis with residents of the asylum seekers' centre on Saturday morning, two internal (ladder) competitions (via the KNTLB Match App and via mail), of course we participate in the KNLTB competition in spring and autumn and we organize annual club championships for the youth and seniors and the Fenneke Schutte Open Weekend tournament.

Almost all youth members and many senior members follow the much appreciated tennis lessons at SV Kampong Tennis. A total of about 400 members, which is more than half of the total number of members. SV Kampong Tennis has had an agreement with tennis school TBL of Ron van der Kroon for the lessons for a long time. If you want to practice for yourself, you can also use the ball cannon that is freely available to the members.

Finally, the security of our members is our priority and therefore a privacy policy and security policy have been drawn up and a confidential advisor and a disciplinary committee installed.

A significant increase in the number of members to 720 in the course of 2021 led to a member stop and a waiting list for new members. The enthusiasm of the new members that we get every year is heartening. As of 1 December 2023, the association has 812 members, of which about 140 youth members and also about 140 members with an off-peak membership that allows you to play until 17.00 during the day and all day in the weekend.
